Berlin, November 28, 2024 - Freaks 4U Gaming, the owner and operator of Gamevasion powered by DreamHack, presents the final program of the highly-anticipated gaming festival at Messe Hannover. Kicking off exactly one week from today, the festival’s LAN event is scheduled from December 5 to 8, and the Expo from December 6 to 8.

Both LAN passes and Expo tickets are still available - there’s no better way to start the holiday season than celebrating all things gaming with your friends and the community!

LAN Area



The legendary LAN Area accommodates up to 1,000 seats including regular and premium seating options. In addition to BYOC participation, attendees may also rent essential gaming gear and accessories without having to bring their own hardware.

The Relaxation and Chill-Out Areas provide a comfortable space for attendees to unwind between gaming sessions, with access to food trucks, kitchenette, shower containers, and plenty of seating and lounging areas.

Feeling competitive? Participate in one of the many community tournaments for a chance to win from the total prize pool of 15,000 EUR! The tournaments cover a wide array of PC games including League of Legends, CS2, VALORANT, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Rocket League, and Age of Empires II, in addition to the festival’s very first console tournament with Rainbow Six Siege.

Sci-Fi Zone



Attention, Star Wars fans: One of the major attractions at Gamevasion, the Sci-Fi Zone boasts 1,200 sqm of movie sets and life-sized replicas of props, such as the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing gaming cockpits, an Endor set with an AT-ST, Endor bunker, and speeder bike, as well as a TIE Fighter.

Visitors may also expect to see live acts by the 501st Legion, participate in lightsaber fighting workshops, and interact with various fan clubs onsite. The Sci-Fi Zone will present one of Germany’s largest exhibitions of replicas and live performances inspired by a galaxy far, far away - it is not to be missed by fans!

Cosplay Area



For the first time, Gamevasion will feature two cosplay contests. The Gamevasion Cosplay Contest returns with a prize pool of €5,000, including award categories of Best Overall Cosplay, Best Prop, Newcomer Award (for finalists with under three years of experience), Best Show Performance, and Judge’s Favorite. Featuring 30 participants and a panel of judges, the pre-judging will take place at noon on Saturday, December 7, with a stage show and award presentation in the afternoon.

On Sunday, December 8, Gamevasion will proudly host the official Lower Saxony Qualifier for the Cosplay Performance Meisterschaft Deutschland (CPMD), of which the winner will advance to the final contest at Manga-Comic-Con in March 2025.

The Cosplay Area will also feature a community area and a photo booth, where cosplayers and visitors can take photos together.

Tabletop Area



The Tabletop Area returns to Gamevasion with exciting new additions this year catering to boardgame, TCG (Trading Card Game), pen & paper, and LARP (Live Action Role Playing) enthusiasts!

Magic: The Gathering fans can look forward to the newly created Commander Play Area which seats up to 600 players, in addition to the Content Creator Area featuring daily livestreaming, guest creators onsite, and special formats such as Jenga Commander. Game Publisher Asmodee adds to the TCG excitement with Star Wars Unlimited, released this year. Visitors can also explore new TCGs such as Disney Lorcana, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Neverrift, and Altered, guided by experts from “Gate to the Gates.”

Classic board games and the famous tabletop game Warhammer 40k are also available again: Together with regional star Tabletop Treff Hannover, Gamevasion offers a huge selection of demo rounds, as well as painting workshops.

Gamevasion debuts LARP in collaboration with Larp Zeit magazine, offering insights into roleplaying. Hosted by Dragon Legion e.V., the pen-and-paper sessions will provide immersive adventures to complete the roleplaying experience.

Additionally, Wizards of the Coast, creators of Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, will host a learn-to-play booth, while Amigo will showcase games and interact with the community at their booth, as one of Germany’s leading board and card game publishers.

TK Prime League



On Saturday, December 7, the first-ever Prime League Award Show plus an All-Star event will take place on the main stage. The award show celebrates outstanding achievements in categories such as "Best Player" or "Play of the Year," with the community voting for their favorites. This event blends thrilling esports action with entertaining surprises, setting a new benchmark for the Prime League.

Renowned players like Keduii, Abbedagge, and PowerOfEvil, along with commentators Maxim Markov and Ryxcales, as well as TK Prime League’s own on-air crew, will deliver an entertaining, interactive program. In addition to honoring the top talents, the event features innovative show matches in various formats, such as 1v1 duels and a 5v5 finale.

Creator Hub



More than 150 creators will join Gamevasion this year, bringing their unique energy and creativity to the event. The Creator Hub will be the central space where creators can engage with the audience, produce exclusive content, and participate in a variety of interactive workshops.

Famous creators such as Autophil, Milkyray, einPapo, and Dirk Neuenfels will take center stage, contributing to the vibrant festival atmosphere. Whether through live gameplay sessions, meet & greets, panels, or collaborative activities, these creators are set to make Gamevasion an unforgettable celebration of gaming culture, creativity, and community.

Artist Alley



Returning after its successful debut last year, the Artist Alley has expanded significantly to accommodate the growing interest from independent creators eager to showcase their work. With 70 artists participating, Gamevasion has nearly doubled its alley exhibitors, featuring a diverse range of talent across various mediums, including digital art, traditional illustrations, crafts, and more.

Community Area



The Community Area is a dedicated space for gamers to relax and enjoy a wide range of freeplay gaming, from AAA titles to indie gems and timeless classics, featuring consoles, PCs, and arcade machines for uninterrupted gaming. The Retro Area adds a nostalgic touch with vintage consoles and classic arcade cabinets, while Hologate offers an immersive VR experience for up to four players, making it a versatile haven for gaming enthusiasts of all kinds.

German Esports Summit



The German Esports Summit will be held at Gamevasion, for its seventh edition in Hannover. This high-profile political and industry conference will bring together experts from esports, gaming communities, organizations, and politics to discuss key topics such as esports festivals, its Olympic potential, diversity, youth protection, journalism, brand awareness, and more. ARD will also join as a media partner with its own talk format. The summit continues to serve as a central platform for addressing critical issues in the esports and gaming ecosystem.
