BERLIN, July 15, 2021 – Freaks 4U Gaming, a 360-degree marketing agency specializing in gaming and esports, today announces Cindy Chou as its new Director of Corporate Communications reporting to CEO Michael Haenisch, effective immediately. In this role, Chou is responsible for strengthening the Freaks 4U Gaming brand by defining communications strategy, cultivating media and stakeholder relations, building thought leadership and supporting internal communication to promote the company’s mission and vision.
“Freaks has been a trusted partner for many brands in sharing their stories to the gaming and esports community, naturally we also have a lot of stories to tell as one of the world’s largest, most-established gaming and esports marketing agencies. Despite some setbacks we have experienced because of the pandemic, the company has been in a growth trajectory across all aspects of businesses, whether it’s client roster, projects handled, number of employees or global presence – since we began this journey nearly two decades ago,” said Haenisch.
“Having more stakeholders than ever before, we see the need to focus more on our very own storytelling not just to have a cohesive voice as a brand, but most importantly communicating our intention and values responsibly as an employer and one of the key players in this ecosystem. We therefore have created a role dedicated to lead out our communications and public relations efforts,” added Haenisch.
Chou joined Freaks 4U Gaming in 2016 as a Senior Marketing Manager based out of the APAC office in Taipei. She was instrumental in managing and growing key accounts, leading pitches as well as planning and executing global and regional projects, with a proven track record of cross-continent activations including product launches, tournaments, influencer campaigns and video productions. Chou also helped to build a trusted network of vendors and partners, ensuring seamless localization in realizing worldwide initiatives. Prior to joining Freaks 4U Gaming, Chou worked in various account management and communications capacities, namely PR agency, luxury retail and technology start-ups.

Chou holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Washington. She resides in the US and works from the Freaks 4U Gaming office in Boise, Idaho.
