In the following, we will inform you which data is collected when you visit our website, for what purposes it is processed, on what legal basis the data processing takes place, what options you have, to control the collection and processing of your data yourself, and when your data will be deleted.
A. Website operation and logging
Collected data: When you visit our website, your internet browser automatically transmits the following data:

All these data are processed when handling your visit to our website. Automated decision-making does not happen.

Storage duration and control options: The data will be deleted when they are no longer necessary to achieve the purposes described above. Log files will be deleted automatically after at most 7 days.

Analysis cookies and tags allow us to generate aggregate statistics, e.g., number of visits, which areas of the website are viewed the most, and information about locations and the duration of the average stay on the website. This enables us to further improve the quality of our website and its contents.
Google Analytics
Data collected: Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address truncated by the last octet prior to its storage using the “_anonymizeIp()” method) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA. Data collected: Personio is a recruiting service provided by Personio GmbH, Rundfunkplatz 4, 80335 München, Germany (“Personio”). This service is used to integrate recruiting processes and possibilities onto our website. The service processes your data only if you are contacting us using the “Career”-Page of our website.

Purposes of data processing: The integration of Personio allows us to post and administrate open positions and opportunities on our website directly. With this service we achieve more convenience for you and keep the recruitment process as straight forward as possible.
Legal basis of data processing: We process your data for the implementation of pre-contractual and contractual measures that are carried out at your request (Art. 6 para. 1 b GDPR)..
Storage duration and control options: The data will be deleted when they are no longer necessary to achieve the purposes, including settlement, for tax purposes or other legal reasons. Log files will be automatically deleted after 7 days at the latest.

Purposes of data processing: The social plugins allow you to share content of our website on social networks.
Legal basis of data processing: We use social plugins if you have consented to them. We obtain your consent when you visit our website via the cookie banner. If no consent is given, no data is being processed to any of the social media services.
Storage duration and control options: You can prevent the collection and processing of social media data by not opting-in to our processing, or by a corresponding setting in your browser (typically called “do not track” option).

3. What data is processed when you contact us, subscribe to a newsletter, sign up for a raffle or giveaway, and apply for a new career?
In the following, we inform you about which data is collected and processed when you contact us, order a newsletter, apply for a new position, for what purposes and by which recipients they are processed, on what legal basis the data processing takes place, and when the data is deleted.
A. Contacting us
Data collected: For inquiries about our services, you may be asked to enter personal data that is mandatory to process your requests (name, address, e-mail address, phone number, used hard- or software, etc.). Before your personal data is sent to us and stored into our database, you will be asked for consent. Further, you are prompted to confirm that you have read this privacy policy in its currently valid version and that you fully accept it. All personal data you submitted to us is used solely to process your requests. There is no sharing of this personal data with third parties (except with our mentioned service providers).
Purposes of data processing: Data processing is carried out by our customer service or service providers commissioned by us exclusively based on and to process your request.
Legal basis of data processing: We process your data for the implementation of pre-contractual and contractual measures that are carried out at your request (Art. 6 para. 1 b GDPR), or if this legal basis is not applicable based on our common legitimate interest to have your inquiry handled properly and completely (Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR)
Storage duration: We store your data for as long as we need it to answer your inquiry and/or to follow up on it, or to comply with legal retention periods.
Third-country transfers: We may transfer any personal data we hold to a country outside the EEA, provided that the country to which the personal data is transferred ensures an adequate level of protection for the data subject’s rights and freedoms.
Personal data we hold may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one or more of our suppliers. Such employees may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of contracts with the data subject, the processing of payment details and the provision of support services. In all cases we will always ensure that all legal requirements for such transfers outside the EEA are fully met; you can contact us for more details.
B. Raffles and giveaways
From time to time, we host and organize raffles or giveaways on behalf of our partners and sponsors, and on our own behalf. To keep your data safe and secured, we strictly following all necessary measures, to ensure that you will receive the prices without the costs of your personal data:
Data collected: To organize and administrate each raffle or giveaway, we use the service Gleam.io, provided by Crowd9 PTY Ltd., 16 Jacaranda Crescent, Mornington, VIC 3931, Australia (“Gleam”). Following data will be collected, but is not limited to your name, contact details, e-mail address, and shipping address. The collected and processed data depends on the scope and the necessary data we need from you, to be able to participate in the given raffle or giveaway and is documented in its terms and conditions in all detail.

Purpose of data processing: The data we collect serves solely to fulfil our contract with you which is established via the corresponding terms and conditions you have agreed to upon registration for the representative raffle or giveaway. The data is used for contacting you in case you have won something and to be able to send the prices to you on our own, on behalf of our partners and sponsors, or from our partners or sponsors directly. Further details will be explained to you as soon as we contact you for the first time if you have won something from the raffle or giveaway you have signed up for.
Legal basis of data processing: We process your data for the implementation of pre-contractual and contractual measures that are carried out at your request (Art. 6 para. 1 b GDPR), or if this legal basis is not applicable based on our common legitimate interest to have your inquiry handled properly and completely (Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR)
Storage duration: Your data will be stored as long as we need it for the specific processing purpose above, , or to comply with legal retention periods.
Third-country transfers: We may transfer any personal data we hold to a country outside the EEA, provided that the country to which the personal data is transferred ensures an adequate level of protection for the data subject’s rights and freedoms.
Personal data we hold may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one or more of our suppliers. C. Career
Data collected: We only process the data you provide us with, such as your name, e-mail-address, resume, and contact details via the service provided by Personio. In addition, with each access to the recruiting page, Personio creates general log data, so-called server logs, which are automatically recorded. In general, data such as the domain name of the website, the web browser and web browser version, the operating system, the IP address, and the time stamp of access to the software are collected.
In addition, the log files can be subsequently checked and evaluated if there is a suspicion of illegal use of the software.
Purposes of data processing: Submitted data during the recruitment process via our website will only be used for the recruitment process itself. Without this data, it would not be technically possible to deliver and display the contents of the software and open positions. In addition, the processing of this data is necessary for security aspects, for access, input and transfer and storage control.
Legal basis of data processing: The legal basis for this can be found in Art. 6 (1) f GDPR.
Storage duration: Your data will be stored as long as we need it for the specific processing purpose above, or to comply with legal retention periods. The storage period of the error and server logs is up to 7 days.
4. What rights do you have and how can you execute them?
A. Revocation of consent
You can revoke any consent you have given to the processing of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. Please note that the revocation has no effect on the lawfulness of the previous data processing and that it does not extend to such data processing for which there is a legal basis that does not require your consent.
B. Other rights of data subjects
In addition, according to Articles 15 to 21 and 77 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you are entitled to the following rights as data subjects if the legal requirements are met:
The right to be informed and have access: You can request at any time from us, that we provide you with information about which of your personal data we process and how and that we provide you with a copy of your personal data stored by us, Art. 15 GDPR.
The right to rectification (correction): You can request the correction of incorrect personal data as well as completion of incomplete personal data, Art. 16 GDPR.
The right to erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data. Please be aware, however, that there are circumstances in which we have the right or even the obligation to refuse such a request. It is not possible to comprehensively list these circumstances here; however, we will of course inform you about the details of our legal rights and obligations in this matter on request (Art 17 GDPR).
The right to restriction of processing: You can request the restriction of processing in certain circumstances, e.g., if you believe that your data is incorrect, if the processing is unlawful or if you have objected to the data processing. As a result, your data may only be processed to a very limited extent without your consent, e.g., to assert, exercise and defend legal claims or to protect the rights of other natural and legal persons, Art. 18 GDPR.
The right to object: You have the right of objecting to the processing of your personal data on ground related to your personal situation. In this case we are obliged to stop processing your personal data unless we can prove that we have compelling legitimate reasons to continue to do so (Art. 21 GDPR).
In addition, you have the right to object against the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes without reason or justification. We are legally obliged to always comply with such a request without exceptions (Art. 21 GDPR).
The right to data portability: You have the right to receive the data that you have provided to us and that we process on the basis of your consent or for the fulfilment of the contract in a common, machine-readable format and to request a direct transmission of this data to third parties within the scope of what is technically feasible, Art. 20 GDPR.

5. General information on third-country transfers
The contractually agreed data processing takes place exclusively in a member state of the European Union (European data centers) or in another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. However, as part of maintenance and support measures, data may also be transferred to the third country USA among others. We always guarantee an adequate level of protection for data transmission by introducing appropriate protective measures in accordance with Art. 44 ff GDPR. For each of these third-country transfers, a contract with standard data protection clauses of the European Commission (Art. 46 para. 2 letters c and d GDPR) has been concluded with the respective recipient.
